    Disability support services

    We provide a range of support services to enable people with disabilities to fully participate in the resolution process, including any hearings or mediations.

    Services include:

    • Accessible hearing rooms with wheelchair access
    • Assistive listening devices and hearing loops
    • AUSLAN interpreters and captioning services
    • Remote participation options (video or phone)
    • Disability Liaison Officers (DLOs) who provide additional support

     

    Koori support services

    The Koori Support Team provides culturally safe support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with RDRV cases.

    • Explain RDRV notices and processes
    • Connect you with legal and community services
    • Attend hearings for emotional and cultural support
    • Arrange in-person sessions to be in Koori rooms (if available)

     

    Family violence support

    We provide extra support and safety measures for people experiencing family violence. This includes: 

    • Keeping your contact details confidential
    • Serving documents on your behalf
    • Arranging remote participation (phone or video)
    • Connecting you to legal and support services

     

    Interpreter services

    If you need to speak to our customer service team, call 2M Language Services on (03) 7036 7578 and say the English name of your language. Then ask the interpreter to call VCAT on 1300 01 8228.

     

    Support for people who are deaf or hard of hearing

    We provide AUSLAN interpreters, live captioning, and assistive listening devices for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Services must be requested in advance.
